Standards
At the start of the module we explored the Common Core State Standards and discussed how we can 'unpack' a standard to find out what exactly the students will need to know and what they should be able to do in order to meet the standard. Following on from this, we practiced backward mapping in order to create a curriculum based on the standard we unpacked.
Unit Planning
Lesson Planning
We then used our curriculum maps to develop a detailed unit plan including the overall unit goals and objectives, and a summary of each lesson within the unit. Based on this, we then wrote a lesson plan based on one of the lessons from the unit plan.
